The Department of Pharmacy, BGC Trust University Bangladesh, in collaboration with the BGCTUB Pharma Club, successfully organized a workshop titled “Bridging Academia and Industry: Insights into Industrial Pharmacy Practices” on 30th April 2025. The workshop was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. A. F. M. Aowrangazab, Honorable Vice Chancellor, BGCTUB, as the chief guest. Special Guests included Professor Dr. Md. Hazrat Ali Miah, Treasurer In-Charge, BGCTUB, and Dr. S. M. Shoaib, Registrar In-Charge, BGCTUB. The session was conducted by Mr. Jony Mallik, Industrial Pharmacist - Quality Operations, Popular Pharmaceuticals PLC, who provided valuable insights into real-world industrial practices, quality control, and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes. As part of the program, the Department of Pharmacy congratulated three esteemed faculty members-Sharmin Akhter, Assistant Professor, Mohammad Arman, Lecturer & Assistant Proctor, and
Israt Jahan Lecturer, for receiving Special Research Grants from the Ministry of Science and Technology for the fiscal year 2024–25.
The program was chaired by Mr. Zahed Bin Rahim, Chairman In-Charge, Department of Pharmacy, and convened by Mohammad Arman, Lecturer & Assistant Proctor, Department of Pharmacy.
Held at Room 115, Academic Building 01, this event created a strong platform for pharmacy students to align their academic knowledge with industry expectations.
