BGC Trust University Bangladesh (BGCTUB) proudly celebrated World Intellectual Property Day 2025 with great enthusiasm and academic spirit. The event highlighted the importance of innovation, creativity, and the protection of intellectual property rights in the modern world.
The celebration was graced by Professor Dr. A. F. M. Aowrangazab Honorable Vice Chancellor of BGCTUB, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized the vital role of intellectual property in fostering economic growth, innovation and protecting creators’ rights. Professor Dr. Md. Hazrat Ali Miah, Treasurer (In-Charge) of BGCTUB, attended as the Special Guest and spoke about the significance of raising awareness on intellectual property among young scholars and entrepreneurs.
The Keynote Speaker of the event was Professor A. B. M. Abu Noman,Former Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Chittagong & Advisor, Dept. of Law,BGCTUB who delivered an insightful presentation on the theme of this year’s World IP Day, encouraging students to embrace creativity and innovation while respecting legal frameworks.
The program was successfully convened by Dr. Rana Karan,Director,IQAC,BGCTUB whose coordination made the event a remarkable success. The session was chaired by Dr. S. M. Shoaib, Registrar (In-Charge), BGCTUB, who highlighted the university's ongoing commitment to promoting education and awareness about intellectual property issues.
Faculty members, students, and guests actively participated, making the event lively, informative, and inspiring. The celebration concluded with a renewed pledge to foster innovation, respect intellectual property rights and prepare students to lead in an increasingly knowledge-based world.
