The Department of Journalism and Media Studies at BGC Trust University Bangladesh proudly hosted the inauguration ceremony of the JMS Multimedia Lab and the fact-checking initiative RumorBreaker on 29 June 2025 at the IQAC Conference Hall of BGCTUB.
The event was graced by Professor Dr. A.F.M Aowrangazab, Honorable Vice Chancellor, and Dr. S.M Shoaib, Registrar (In-Charge), as special guests. The program was presided over by Yeasr Silmy, Chairman (In-Charge) of the department. Students from all academic batches actively participated, contributing to a vibrant and engaging atmosphere.
The ceremony was conducted with professionalism and enthusiasm, marking a significant step toward enhancing practical media education and promoting critical digital literacy.
